1. Agreement

By using Tribe (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to form a contract in your jurisdiction. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Health & Safety Disclaimer

Running and fitness activities involve risk, including injury and death. The App is not medical advice and does not replace professional medical guidance.

You are solely responsible for route choices, weather and traffic awareness, hydration, equipment, and compliance with local laws.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under your account.

5. User Content

You may upload or submit content such as profile information, profile photos, trail posts, trail images, and messages. You retain ownership of your content.

You grant Tribe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content to operate, secure, and improve the App.

You must not post content that is unlawful, abusive, infringing, sexually explicit, deceptive, or otherwise harmful. We may remove content or restrict accounts for violations.

6. Authentication (Sign in with Apple)

The App supports Sign in with Apple through Supabase Authentication. Apple handles your Apple ID credentials; Tribe does not receive your Apple password.

Your Tribe account is linked to your Supabase authentication identity to provide sign-in, account security, and account recovery features.

7. Health, Location, and Device Features

Certain features require HealthKit, location, notifications, photos/camera, motion, or calendar access. Your use of those features is optional, but they may not work without the related permission.

If granted, background location updates may be used during active run experiences and related safety or tracking features.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to misuse the App, including unauthorized access attempts, scraping, reverse engineering except where permitted by law, harassment, spam, impersonation, or interference with other users.

10. Community Features

Tribe includes social and community features (for example, public activity, group runs, direct messages, trail sharing, reporting, and blocking). You are responsible for your interactions with others.

We may moderate community features and enforce these Terms to protect users and the service.

11. Service Availability

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time. We do not guarantee continuous or error-free availability.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App at any time for violations of these Terms or to protect the App, users, or third parties.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tribe will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

15. Account Deletion

If you delete your account in the App, we attempt to delete your app account data and associated authentication record in our backend.

Account deletion in Tribe does not delete your Apple ID or other third-party accounts.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
